Thomas J. Roberts, CPA, co-founder of Fitts Roberts Kolkhorst has provided over 50 years of professional and civic leadership for the firm and his community.  Still practicing today, his primary area of expertise is tax and business consulting for closely-held business owners and their families.  Tom has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Texas Society of CPAs. He also served the Houston CPA Society as President, Secretary, Treasurer and Board Director.  Tom also served as Chairman of numerous committees.  In 1983, he was chosen by the Texas Society of CPAs as “Outstanding Chapter President,” and he was voted “CPA of the Year” by the Houston CPA Society in 1987.   Tom was also the honoree for the 2008 Charity Extravaganza.  Other honors include being recognized by the Beta Alpha Psi Chapter at the University of Houston as an Honorary Member and being named on the Wall of Honor at the Bauer College of Business.  Tom has 50 years of membership in Rotary International and is a Paul Harris Fellow.  He graduated from the University of Houston in 1958 (BBA - Cum Laude).  Tom has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 56 years.  They have seven children, fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
